Portobello Housing Estate Community Garden

Last weekend, some of our team, along with their families, had the pleasure of supporting the Family Gardening event at Portobello Housing Estate Community Garden, delivered by Nature Vibezzz, a charity that engages local communities through nature-based activities, gardening, and sustainability initiatives.

They planted spring onions and helped build a garden shelter, providing space to store tools and nurture future plants for harvesting. Nature Vibezzz also hosted four people on work experience, giving them valuable hands-on skills in community gardening and project support.

It was great to meet with Douglas Saucedo, Executive Director, and John Cannell, Operations Director, to discuss future collaborations. Organisations like Nature Vibezzz play a crucial role in getting young people involved in nature and their local community, while also helping to reduce loneliness and encourage socialisation.
