Helping Students Build Stronger Job Applications

Our team attended a cover letter support session alongside Construction Youth Trust, helping students to create professional cover letters to complement their CVs and strengthen their job applications. The session focused on identifying career aspirations and tailoring cover letters to meet the requirements of specific roles.

Guidance was provided on structuring a cover letter effectively, including writing a strong introduction, highlighting relevant experience through clear examples, and finishing with a confident closing statement. Participants also received advice on how to personalise their applications for different opportunities while maintaining a concise and engaging tone.

By developing their understanding of effective job application techniques, participants were better equipped to present their skills and experience to potential employers. Sessions like this help students to build confidence in taking positive steps towards their future career progression.
